HEALTH

You can't do anything without your health. It's the baseline of your life and the vitality required to run your body, mind, and daily activities. These practices are specifically designed to bring up your "wei qi" which will boost immunity, heal the organs, and bring up your overall vitality. Practice them daily until you feel full of life.

  • The Basic 8

This is a very “yang” health set which means it’ll get you moving. It activates the WEI QI which boosts the immunity while it helps cycle energy through the 12 primary meridians. The set ends with moving qi through the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) and the Du Mai (Governing Vessel) which are two of the 8 Extra Meridians that act as reservoirs of energy in the body. This is a great practice to do if you’re feeling run down or would like to prevent a cold.

  • Silk Weavers

The practice is calm, soothing, and gentle. It helps activate the immunity and boost the smooth flow of qi throughout the body. There are three parts: 1) physical only, 2) done in the mind’s eye, and 3) a hybrid of the two which helps train and activate the “ghost body”. Mastering this practice will boost your energy, help you stay healthy, and also develop a sharp mind for visualization and healing.

  • Triple Burner

This health practice helps focus energy in the three distinct jiaos or sections of the body- upper (at chest level), middle (at level of the viscera), and lower (intestines and sex organs). Learning to concentrate energy and light in each of these areas is a key skill set in getting your body healthy and your qi flowing correctly.
